I certainly wasn't advocating not drinking...hell no...I'm from the North of England, a Geordie in fact, where the pints are bigger and stronger still (although not quite as strong as those even bigger ones in Munich and Stuttgart).

I'm soooo glad we don't have this celebration here, it must be like having two Christmases a year...

Thank goodness! I don't care for Thanksgiving at all. I've actually managed to finally find a way out of it. I got divorced, my ex has kid for Thanksgiving, and my family lives too far away for a quick weekend trip so I go for Christmas instead. Took me 40 years to get this straight. ;-)

@David Bradley
I am not saying get drunk (aka Above the limit). The Red Bull is to wake you up from your food coma.

Drink responsibly folks! But we already knew that, right?

Also, I'm in the US...Isn't our pint smaller and weaker? haha

Don't they have drink-drive laws where you live? You drive to a bar on a Red Bull after a boozy dinner?

"The other Red Bull is for the moment you get in your car to leave."

I guess people do that kind of thing here too, but it's become less and less acceptable and given that one pint of beer is enough to put you over the limit...
